BatteryCare is a software developed by Filipe Lourenço to optimize the use and performance of the batteries in modern notebooks. It allows monitoring of battery discharge cycles, contributing to greater autonomy and longevity.
Monitoring of discharge cycles: Rigorously counts complete discharge cycles. When the configured number of cycles is reached, the software notifies the need to perform a full discharge for recalibration.
Detailed battery information: Displays data such as wear level, capacities, consumption, manufacturer, and other essential information to assess the battery's condition.
CPU and HDD temperature readings: Constantly monitors the temperatures of the processor and hard drive, providing useful information to prevent overheating.
Automatic power plan switching: Automatically selects the preferred power plan based on the computer's power state.
Control over Windows Aero and resource-intensive services: Automatically disables the graphics-accelerated theme and resource-heavy services during battery use, helping to save energy.
Information in the notification area: Provides a compact popup containing essential information for quickly monitoring the battery's status, such as current charge, remaining time, temperatures, and active power plan.
Automatic updates: The program updates automatically, ensuring that you always have the latest version without the need for manual downloads.
Lightweight on the system: BatteryCare is designed to be lightweight, consuming less than 0.1% of processor and memory resources, without interfering with system performance.
