Calcpad is a professional software for developing mathematical and engineering calculations. It allows you to create your own calculation spreadsheets or use some that are already prepared, available in its online library. With the Windows version, you can work directly from your computer.
Calcpad is free and open source, distributed under the MIT license. Its source code is available on SourceForge and GitHub.
Calcpad uses a simple programming language, easy to learn and does not require advanced knowledge. This makes it accessible for engineers without programming experience. With it, you can create calculation notes simply by writing formulas and texts in quotes. It is possible to define variables, functions, include units of measurement, and apply numerical methods to solve more complex problems. Documentation and quick guides are available online.
Results are automatically generated in professional-looking HTML reports, with formatted equations and value substitutions. These reports can be printed or downloaded as Word files (*.docx), with equations converted into MathType objects. For advanced customizations, it is possible to insert HTML, CSS, and SVG codes.
Calcpad allows you to automatically generate data input forms from the source code. Just place question marks (?) in the locations where values should be inserted. It is also possible to control the visibility of the content with control tags.
