Description


ClamAV is an open-source antivirus software developed to detect and remove malware, including viruses, trojans, worms, and other threats. It allows:

  • File and directory scanning: Analyzes files for known malware signatures.
  • Frequent database updates: Maintains an automatically updated malware definition database.
  • Real-time and on-demand scanning: Offers continuous protection or manual/scheduled scans.
  • Integration with email servers: Allows scanning of email attachments at mail gateways.
  • Command line and daemon usage: Can be run via terminal or as a background service (clamd).
  • Support for compressed formats: Analyzes compressed files such as ZIP, RAR, TAR, among others.
