Description
NetChat is a local network communication software that allows the sending of messages, file sharing, links, and clipboard content between devices connected to the same network, without the need for an internet connection. The exchanged messages remain exclusively within the local network, ensuring greater privacy.
The program allows for message sending even when the recipient is offline, with the option to store them on an FTP server for later delivery. An integrated HTTP server makes it easy to share images and other files. Additionally, it is possible to configure a fixed user in another subnet to act as a gateway, connecting different subnets using NetChat.
The interface is simple and accessible via an icon near the clock in the taskbar, allowing quick access to chat functionality, file transfer, or clipboard sharing. The software does not require a dedicated server, as it automatically detects users on the network.
