PICOLAY is a free software for Windows, developed by Heribert Cypionka that allows for the generation of enhanced images from series of photos, especially for non-commercial use.

Main Features:

• Focus Stacking: Combines sharp areas from a series of images captured at different focus levels (z-stack) to create an image with greater depth of field.
• 3D Visualization: Generates three-dimensional representations of objects through colored depth maps in 2D, 3D projections, stereoscopic images, or animations.
• Image Optimization: Allows adjustments of parameters such as size, colors, sharpness, contrast, brightness, saturation, gamma, white balance, and flat-field.
• Portability: Does not require installation, being executable directly from devices like pen drives.

10. Convert color images to grayscale.
11. Enhance sharpness.
12. Increase contrast.

28. Create a smooth background (flat-field) by removing unwanted items from the set.
29. Divide RGB values of images by those of the first image in the list.
30. Generate depth map of the set.
31. Create 3D images from depth maps and stacked images.
32. Generate red-cyan images for anaglyph glasses.
33. Create 2 or 4 separate images for 3D viewing with parallel or crossed eyes.
34. Generate spatial projections of stacked objects at any angle.
35. Create 3D hologram visualizations that show hidden structural details.
36. Generate 3D animations with swing or rotation effects.
37. Create 3D images for defined viewing distances (viewing angles).
38. Make 3D images appear in front of or behind the screen.
39. Paint on images.
40. Blur unwanted details.
41. Clone (copy) parts of an image to other areas.
42. Clone areas from original images to the stacked result (including depth map information).
43. Write text on images, horizontally or vertically, with any font and size.
44. Draw a scale bar (rectangle with any color and size).
