PortScan is a tool for network analysis and diagnosis that allows you to identify active devices, available services, and check connectivity in a network environment. The software performs port scans over IP address ranges, detecting open ports and providing detailed information such as hostname, MAC address, and active services including HTTP, SMB, FTP, MySQL, among others.
In addition, PortScan facilitates the location of specific devices on the network, such as routers, UPnP devices, printers, projectors, and Bonjour-enabled devices, even without the exact IP address.
Other features include connection speed tests, execution of Ping commands with different packet sizes to measure response times, and using Traceroute to analyze network paths. The software also queries WhoIs and DNS servers to obtain information about domain names and IPs.
With support for up to 100 simultaneous threads, PortScan is efficient for scanning large ranges of IP addresses and offers similar or even broader functionalities than the Network Utility of macOS.
