Description
Svchost.exe is one of the most mysterious processes in Windows 7/Vista/XP. Svchost.exe is a generic host process for services that use dynamically linked libraries (DLLs). The authentic svchost.exe is located in C:WindowsSystem32, but various viruses and Trojans use the same process and file name to hide and disguise their activities. The Svchost Process Analyzer lists all instances of svchost and checks the services it contains. This makes it easy to identify the existence of malicious svchost processes, such as the infamous Conficker Worm.
