The freeware Windows Process Viewer lists all the processes that are active on your computer. The software shows the Windows file name, its full path, and its size for each task in the list of active processes. If you click on a process, the program will connect to the online database of arquivo.wiki.br to gather additional information. Among the information, you will see the real name of the process and the name of its developer. Additionally, you will see the folder where the file should be. This way, you can check if the displayed process is a genuine Windows system process, if it is a fake process, or a trojan horse. The most frequently attacked Windows files are: svchost.exe, lsass.exe, alg.exe, ctfmon.exe, csrss.exe, wmiprvse.exe, wisptis.exe and wuauclt.exe.
The advantages of the Windows Process Viewer, created by arquivo.wiki.br, compared to the Windows Task Manager are: it displays the full path, the folder where the file should be, the most well-known name of the process, and its developer.
